Faculty of Informatics was established within the International Vision University of Gostivar. The main purpose and activity of the Faculty is the development of information science and technology in Macedonia. Modern development of socio-economic trends is increasingly dependent on and determined by factors that drive the development of technology and innovation, encourage talent and introduce dynamic development dimension in education, and are intended to enable participants how the economy, universities, scientific research institutes, public administration, and in order to meet the development trends, competition, compatibility, flexibility and creativity. Economic development continuously and directly affects the development and participation of the aforementioned factors and actors in the process of encouraging competition and creates the prerequisites for a long term development. Overall economic development is determined by the progress of global trends in the world economy, the economic development in each national economy and personal development course that absorbs himself in broad economic and information school studies, achieving a successful business career and growth of living standards. Dynamic and rapid change in recent years require more effective and professionally-oriented education system, constant ability to evaluate and modify educational programs.

In terms of mass computerization can be expected that the demand for personnel with education in the field of information and communication technologies will grow. From that point, expect the Faculties to ensure staff are able to deal with challenges in the design and implementation of solutions in the field of Information Technology which will contribute to increasing the efficiency of organizations. The study programs in Informatics will produce trained personnel for design, implementation and maintenance of computer systems for various specific uses for the IT industry, design and maintenance of computer hardware and software and maintenance of computer networks.

Informatics is a creative discipline that plays a central role in our modern society. Application of information and communication technologies gradually penetrates into all areas of life and developing at a fast pace. The development and the use of these technologies affects not only the business and administration, but also personal lives of a growing number of people. The Faculty aims to train informatics experts that are interdisciplinary in approach, with abstract thinking skills, and with an awareness in the field of application of information technologies. Information technologies nowadays have a key role in national and international research. Its activities are guided by the principles of academic excellence, networking and learning. In conditions of massive computerization can be expected that the demand for staff with education in the field of information technologies will grow. At that point, we expect universities to provide staff who are able to deal with challenges in the design and implementation of solutions in the field of Information Technology which will contribute to increasing the efficiency of the organizations. The study program of our faculty students acquire the necessary knowledge to identify and algorithmic formulation of practical real-world problems, and their software implementation using modern programming languages. Upon completion of undergraduate studies, you get title of graduated of computer scientist. Computer scientists today work in many areas and are able to:  a) write programs in different computer languages, such as C ++ and Java, b) update and expand existing programs c) test programs and if there are errors fix mistakes in the code c) create and test codes, d) use library of codes for ease of writing new programs, e) work as analysts in safety systems, f) work as administrators of computer networks.
